Around new moon in September 2014 I visited Appartamenti Agrituristici Agribaldo (https://www.agribaldo.it) close to Lake Garda for a few days and nights.

They offer an apartment with kitchen, bath, bedroom, garden and a wide free area around the building for up to 4 persons for a fair price. But the most important thing is that is is pretty dark there. The good thing is that is is not far away from Lake Garda and depending on the weather you can decide if you want to spend your holiday at night watching the sky – or – at day with e.g. hiking, cycling or climbing.

It’s location is not too far away from the Monte Baldo Astronomical Observatory (www.osservatoriomontebaldo.it). They also have a skycam and a local weather report on their website.
